History of World War II - The Seeds for Victory DVD

History of World War II - The Seeds for Victory

This DVD is about all those patriotic U.S. citizens who sacrificed their lives and those of their sons to bring an early end to World War II and restore peace! Don’t miss it!

In late January and early February 1944, the U.S. Army 7th Infantry Division assaulted Kwajalein Island and the other small islands in the southern half of Kwajalein Atoll. Simultaneously, the U.S. Marine Corps in the northern half of Kwajalein Atoll assaulted Roi Island and Namur Island, then the remaining smaller islands of northern Kwajalein Atoll.

Following the battles for Kwajalein Atoll, U.S. forces assaulted and secured Enewetak Atoll and Majuro Atoll. These three bases served as staging points for air and naval forces moving onward in later months to attack the vast Japanese naval base at Truk (Chuuk) and other lesser Japanese installations enroute to the Mariana Islands.

The accounts of this historic battle and many others like it fought by the brave soldiers in the U.S. armed forces are retold in a poignant manner in this DVD.

EDITORIAL REVIEW:

The films on this DVD serve two chief purposes - to motivate and to educate. The war-department produced clips of American soldiers engaging the enemy in fiercely fought battles in the Pacific sector - New Guinea and The Marshall Islands to be precise - are highly motivating and complement the others, which are intended to educate.

The clip entitled "Wood for War" is a beautiful treatise on the many uses of wood and the need for its preservation. The U.S. News Review, which you will witness in this DVD, solicits the cooperation of citizens in allowing a greater part of the national resources to be used for the war effort by repairing and reusing household equipment. The clip about a heart-broken father’s plea to end the war through hard and honest work is particularly touching.

The final clip "The Army Nurse" provides an exhaustive insight into the extensive training given to nurses during the war.

Lots of footage of the live action from hard fought battles and professionally designed lessons for those who fought the war from homes and factories makes this DVD worth the time spent in viewing its contents.

CUSTOMER'S REVIEWS:

"I love action movies and this DVD has plenty of action. Moreover, this action is the real thing and not some studio generated stuff. The men, the machines, the guns, the enemy and even death are all real and so were my emotions after viewing the many battles on this DVD. I was particularly touched by the scenes of Japanese soldiers surrendering to the U. S. troops on Marshall Islands. The humane treatment they received was proof of America’s involvement in the War solely to protect and not to conquer. I think all those who support war must view the contents of see this excellent DVD."

"I had read about some of the famous battles our soldiers fought in World War II, and one of them was the battle on Marshall Island. I am thankful for the opportunity I have of watching some live action form this battle on this DVD. The graphic images of death and destruction reinforced my convictions about the dreadful nature of war. Thanks everybody at a2zcds for this wonderful DVD."
